The “Yamim:” Yom Hashoa, Yom Hazikaron, Yom Haatzmaut, Yom Yerushalayim. Modern creations added to our Jewish calendar that stir great emotion amongst the Jewish people. We, here at Bruriah, have been busy commemorating and celebrating these events. From special speakers to walkathons, we’ve covered the gamut of emotions. However one marks these days, one thing must stand out in our minds: the involvement and the directorship of Hakodesh Baruch Hu. The common denominator in all the “yamim” is recognizing that we must do our hishtadlus and the rest lies in the hands of Hashem. One often complains that there are no more miracles but if one takes a step back and looks at these “yamim” as a whole it becomes crystal clear that nissim still follow the Jewish people. We hope you enjoy this latest edition of Soundbytes, brought to you with a little change of color. We hope that your “Yamim” were meaningful for you and will eventually all celebrate together in Eretz Yisroel, Bimherah biyameinu. Please send any comments that you may have to soundbytes@gmail.com. If you are reading this on our website and would like to receive Soundbytes editions via email, please send your email to the email link listed above. Rabbi Chaim Hagler |
