The excitement in the halls of Bruriah for GO Shabbaton is palpable. Students everywhere are doing all kinds of preparations to make this Shabbaton the best ever. The play, the masquerade ball, the blood drive, and snow tubing all had a positive impact on the extracurricular lives of our students. We do it all here at Bruriah: the arts, the fun, and most importantly, the learning. With Purim quickly approaching, the mood of simcha keeps picking up steam. Unfortunately, we were reminded so brutally this past week that we still have our enemies who would rather us never be b’simcha. As we mourn the loss of the eight kedoshim and tehorim, we must keep in mind that we can never fully understand the ways of Hashem. It is our obligation to carry on in life: mourn the losses, but remember to celebrate appropriately occasions that Hashem has given us to do so. We at Bruriah are struggling with these emotions, but are carrying on and continuing to grow and learn. May we be zocheh to share together as a Bruriah family in many smachot and help bring the geulah shelaima hastily. On a lighter note, please enjoy this 10th edition of Soundbytes as once again our wonderful volunteer student staff has put together a magnificent edition to keep you informed of the myriad activities happening at Bruriah.
