                 Who can solve the following?  RT + 4BC = CC.  Think! Think hard.  Give up?? Here goes: One round table (RT) plus four black chairs (4BC) equals Mrs. Newman’s Chat Corner (CC)!  The chat corner bulletin board always has different notices posted, like a “senior seminary consultations” sign up sheet or a sign up sheet for anyone who is interested in a small speaking part for Mother Daughter.

             The board is dominated by a prominent contest-envelope.  The first school-wide contest was: the “yore tzeet” (P’tirra dates) of the Emahos.  The prize?  Additional points for a Chumash test of the student’s choice.  The mid-year contest was “Pruzbul” and “Heter Iskah”: What is the meaning of these words and what is the direct and/or indirect connection to Shemittah?  The prize?  Additional points on a Halachah test.  The newest contest is a set of cartoons, and the contest question is: “To which program that we had this year would this cartoon fit in?  Name the program and in 25 words or less explain how it fits in.”  The prize?  Eating lunch at my chat corner with any administrator of your choice!
