In true Bruriah tradition, the third week of school has been a very busy one. As part of our preparation for the upcoming Yamim Noraim the Juniors and Seniors were treated to a thought provoking shiur from Rabbi Tatz. Thursday night’s after- school Middos Tovos program attracted more than 140 students and dealt with the timely topic of maintaining commitments. On a lighter note the Freshman grade and the Junior High each enjoyed a sun filled, fun filled trip to a local apple orchard followed by class programs in a nearby state park. The Junior class enjoyed an unexpected break from schoolwork with a lunchtime trip to a local park. The G.O. activities this week included a balloon launch and a donut sale. In keeping with their Elul theme – construction workers – the hallways were decorated with inspirational messages encouraging us all to use our time as we approach Rosh HaShana “constructively”. Wishing the extended Bruriah family a כתיבה וחתימה טובה Mrs. Shlomis Peikes If you want to be added to the email list, please send us an email at Bruriah_Soundbytes@yahoo.com or sign up with Yonina Fogel (12-225). |
